Join a Thriving Community of Wood Burning Artists

Whether you're a beginner or a professional, find inspiration, friendship, and a supportive space to showcase your artwork

Why Join the Wood Burn Society?

Wood burning is more than just an art technique, it’s a journey best shared with others. At the Wood Burn Society, you’ll find a welcoming community of pyrography artists who understand your passion. Whether you're looking to make friends who share your passion, showcase your work, or be inspired by the creativity of others, this is the place for you.

Don’t You Want to Be in a Secret Society? (A Fun One, not the Creepy Kind that Netflix documentaries warns us about) We’re not saying Wood Burn Society is a pyrography cult… but we do have an unhealthy obsession with wood burned artwork and an elite group of artists who “get it.” You should probably join our newsletter and The Hub right now!

The Burnt Art Hub

The Wood Burn Society embraces the “Artist in Everyone” philosophy and we want to create a vibrant community for wood burning artists of all skill levels. The Burnt Art Hub is a thriving community designed exclusively for wood burning artists to connect, learn, and showcase their art. It’s a space where artists of all levels can share their work, exchange techniques, and get inspired. With a vibrant forum, a virtual gallery, and opportunities to grow through theme challenges, the Hub is all about celebrating pyrography and pushing creative boundaries. Whether you're looking for feedback, resources, or meaningful connections, the Burnt Art Hub is the place for you to grow as an artist and share your passion for wood burning.

Plus Your Friends and Family Are Tired of Hearing About Pyrography. You need a space where people actually care about shading techniques, optimal burning temperatures, and the joy of a perfectly burnt line. Here, we get it. Here, you belong.

Plus Aren’t You Tired of the Social Media Algorithm Ignoring Your Art? How many times can you post your work online just for it to get 13 likes (one from your mom and twelve from bots)? The Hub is a no-algorithm zone your art actually gets seen and appreciated by real humans.

What Our Artists Say

Learning Center

The Wood Burn Society embraces the “Life Long Learning” philosophy and the continuous building of skills and acquiring of knowledge. Wood burning is a journey filled with triumphs, burnt fingertips, and that one time you set off the smoke alarm at 2 AM. Whether you’re a beginner trying not to set your workspace on fire or an experienced burner leveling up your skills, we’ve got something for you. Learn, evolve, and try not to set your workspace on fire or pass out from noxious fumes from sketchy wood.

Virtual Gallery

The Wood Burn Society mission includes supporting artists by publicizing their work, increasing their web presence, and enhancing their artist reputation. We provide opportunities for artists to showcase their work in our virtual gallery which gives them a chance to be seen by a new audience and gain social media followers.

Ever dreamed of your wood-burning masterpiece hanging in a prestigious gallery? Well, this is the internet version of that… and arguably even cooler. Your art deserves to be admired—by more than just your cat and your mom (and those social media bots). We are here to make sure your work gets the attention it deserves, Superstar should be your middle name.

Our current exhibit highlights “Featured Artists” within the wood burning community. The “Call for Artists” for this exhibit is OPEN and we currently accepting artwork submissions. This exhibit is is non-juried, free entry with no fees, open to local & international artists of all skill levels and is open to any subject/style that is in good taste.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase awareness and appreciation of wood burned art by helping artists publicize their work, increase their web presence, build their skills, and by giving them a vibrant community where they can connect with each other in meaningful ways.

Vision of the Future

Wood burned artwork would be appreciated and respected in the same manner as watercolor painting, oil painting, pen & ink, and the other traditional art techniques. Our wood burned masterpieces would be hung in the most prestigious galleries and museums for the public to enjoy. Our community of wood burning artists would be filled with many people from different backgrounds that are eager to learn the techniques and share their creativity.

Our Unofficial Purpose

We exist because wood burning isn’t just a technique, it’s a slightly unhinged obsession that makes our homes smell like a rustic forest fire in the best possible way. We’re here for the artists who hoard wood slices like a dragon, who casually ‘fix’ mistakes by pretending they were totally intentional, and who get way too excited about a perfectly burnt line. Our mission? To give pyrography the respect it deserves, to hype up artists who finally nail that gradient shading, and to create a space where “I just spent three hours burning a tiny owl into a spoon” is met with the enthusiasm it deserves. Together, we’re building a community where wood burning is not just appreciated—but celebrated like the fine art form (and mildly flammable lifestyle choice) that it is!
